Hartlepool - At the Heart of the North East

Hartlepool and the surrounding area, situated on England's North Eastern Coast holds host to some of the country's most picturesque scenery..

From Hartlepool's Marina to miles of beautiful countryside just outside the City, for those of you looking to do a bit of sight-seeing, Hartlepool could well be a surprisingly perfect destination.

Located just to the South of the city is Seaton Carew, a popular and renowned seaside resort. With miles of broad golden sand and traditional entertainment, Seaton Carew is a great venue for a summer family day out.

And for those with an interest in days of years gone by, a visit to Hartlepool's Historic Quay is an absolute must. Incorporating the sights, smells and sounds from the time of Nelson and Trafalgar, the faithful reproduction of an 18th Century seaport makes for an impressive experience.

The Teesside Transporter Bridge and Hartlepool Marina

The nearby Tees Transporter Bridge (Pictured above), is an absolutely stunning sight. Built in 1907, it spans the River Tees and carries 750 people and 600 cars in the carrying car which sits over 160ft over the water.

Perhaps though, you fancy enjoying a little more modern entertainment, and where better than Hartlepool's state of the art Vue Cinema. Boasting 7 screens and 1807 stadium seats, all with extra-stretch leg room!

And who of course could forget the City's football Team, Hartlepool United. Currently flying-high in the English League One, the club's 7,629 seater Victoria Park stadium has been host to some of the World's most famous football clubs.

Without doubt, Hartlepool feature's attractions to suit all personalities. From the bustling city centre to the tranquil countryside surroundings, Hartlepool has it all. For a more in depth look at the City's attractions, take a look at Hartlepool's places of interest.
